Introducing the Nixon Hire Green Range
We're currently testing a new Nixon Hire Green welfare unit and hope to be able to launch it to customers nationwide later this summer. This environmentally friendly cabin has been fitted with lots of energy saving features, initial tests suggest customers can easily save the planet whilst saving cash too.
The new environmentally friendly cabins are designed to use as little power as possible, draws energy from a bank of batteries as a primary source. When the batteries drop below a certain point, the "brain" in the eco assist will automatically turn the generator on to recharge the batteries.
Heating and hot water are provided by a different source, similar to boat technology systems, which does not require large amounts of energy and mainly runs on diesel.
Water to flush the toilets is also replenished by the rain water harvesting system which collects rain water from the roof of the cabin.
We're currently carrying out final tests on these units but hope to be able to fully launch the new units later this summer.
