Portable Toilet Thriller!
Hire are getting ready for a busy day of filming.
The portable toilets are in place, although many of them are not up to the usual high standards clients expect – but for the zombie dancers they’re perfect!
This is the filming of Nixon Hire’s first online video advert. In a new initiative for the company, the advert is aimed at an online mass audience, with a light hearted comedic feel. This ‘you tube’ type offering uses part of Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ track and takes inspiration from the original 1980’s feature length music video for a graveyard of portable toilets and dancing zombies.
Pulling the production together has been no mean feat but the creativity and kindness of local groups and businesses has shone through. Many of the costumes for the video have been provided by a local event and costume hire company, Dandy Events. The dancing zombies, from Hazel Rayson’s Theatre Dance Studio in Ryton, have kindly donated their free time and excellent performance skills to develop a ‘Thriller’ inspired dance as the finale to the video. Nixon Hire’s own ‘toilet hire’ team have also helped up to ‘style’ some old and redundant portable toilets in to coffins and tombs.
