Statement from the Managing Director

Nixon Hire continue to closely monitor developments with respect to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The impact that this has had is wide reaching and I hope that all our employees, customers, supplier and stakeholders remain healthy and safe during this difficult time. 

During this unprecedented period, I would like to reassure you that we have quickly mobilised plans to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees and to allow service and product continuity to our customers. I have outlined below how we are supporting stakeholders during this time.

Supporting our Customers

Nixon Hire remain committed to providing the superior service and support to our customers throughout this period and we are confident that our preparation and contingency planning for situations such as this will ensure minimum disruptions.

  • All Nixon Hire Depots remain open and operational for business
  • We are available to take hire and process off hires via email or telephone
  • Nixon Hire operate from a national footprint and are fully stocked regarding products for hire
  • Our Central Support Office remains open and operational for business
  • Our Business Development Team will endeavour to conduct activity via telephone and email where possible, therefore reducing the risk of face to face visits
  • You can view our product range remotely on our website
  • Our teams will deliver your products to your site, so you don’t need to travel to our depots
  • We are working closely with our suppliers to determine any impacts or delays
  • We have business continuity plans in place to ensure that any disruption to service delivery is minimised
  • We see no significant risk to Nixon Hire supplying our customer’s on-going product needs at this time

Supporting our Employees

The safety and wellbeing of our employees is paramount.

  • We have communicated regularly with employees to keep them informed as the situation develops
  • In line with Government guidelines, homeworking has been implemented where possible
  • We have split up core teams across multiple sites
  • We have deployed additional hand sanitiser facilities across our network
  • We have a range of communication tools to ensure that whether our teams are working from the office or at home, we can keep in contact with each other
  • We have limited external visitors to our sites

Supporting our Suppliers

We are aware that the entire global supply chain has been impacted due to the coronavirus outbreak.

  • We are working closely with our suppliers to determine any impacts or delays
  • We are paying invoices promptly
  • We are placing orders in a timely manner
  • We are not stockpiling goods

This statement will be updated as the situation develops, and we receive further Government advice.
