Nixon Hire have launched their most comprehensive product brochure to date packed with many industry leading innovations. The Essential Catalogue features 132 pages depicting the full range of products for hire, from leading brands and with the latest safety and environmental friendly features.

Apart from a growing range of over 500 product lines, the new brochure features many new products to the Nixon Hire range. During the past 18 months, the company has invested a record £18 million in new products which surpasses most of their competitors when measured as a proportion to turnover. Average age of the plant hire fleet is now only 3.4 years.

The Essential Catalogue features QR Codes linking directly to a range of Safety Videos for their core range of general plant products. These short videos demonstrate visually how to safely check and safely operate each machine, similar to in-flight safety videos shown to passengers on aircraft.

The catalogue also features links to the company’s social media sites including Facebook and Twitter and the newly launched Nixon Hire App, which again, leads the industry with feature rich content. The Nixon Hire App, available from the iTunes store is the only hire industry app to include a full product catalogue with detailed machine specifications.  In addition, the app also includes a handy depot locator, safety guidelines for applicable products and links to safety videos for general plant, all viewable from smart phones, tablets or any internet enabled device. Future updates to the app will allow users to be able to view live prices (after secure login), order and off hire products and track general plant live via the Nixon Track module. An Android version of the app will also follow at a later date.

Nixon Hire now offers one of the most diverse ranges of products including Plant & Tool hire, Site Accommodation Hire and Toilet Hire.  

Nixon Hire eXtra can also offer an additional range of products including access equipment, fencing and barriers, forklifts, generators, traffic, van hire and waste. Nixon eXtra was created in 2009 in recognition that many customers prefer to deal with one trusted hire company, taking all the hassle out of procuring products across the UK and the associated administration costs of opening and managing more supplier accounts. Nixon eXtra can supply the increased range of products across the UK at competitive prices via their trusted network of pre-approved suppliers, all of whom are managed by comprehensive service level agreements.

Due to the rapid growth of the company, and in particular, Nixon eXtra over the past three years, a new 10,000 sq. ft. office facility has been acquired within a mile of the existing combined Newcastle Depot/Head Office. Whilst the Newcastle depot remains on the existing site at Water Street, the new Central Support Office building at City West Business Park now houses sixty head office staff as well as the Nixon eXtra and Nixon Direct functions. Again created in 2009, Nixon Direct handles major accounts that prefer one point of contact, often with stringent service level agreements.
