Marketing Executive

Location: Central Support Office (Newcastle)

We are recruiting for a Marketing Executive to join our newly created Sales & Marketing Team. This is an exciting time to join this creative and dynamic commercial team. You will report into the Marketing Co-ordinator.

Contract type: Permanent
Working Hours: 40 Hours

Established over 52 years ago, Nixon Hire is a UK leader in the provision of construction equipment. Our core product offering includes plant, accommodation, welfare facilities, toilets and modular buildings.

With almost 26,000 fleet assets, we supply products and services to commercial and domestic customers. Nixon Hire operate from 19 Depot locations, from which our products are prepared and dispatched for hire or for sale and are refurbished or configured as required.

Job Role

You will have your own Marketing projects to establish, develop and implement as well as assisting the activities of the team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Production of press releases and press engagement to raise profile in related industries
  • Preparing mailshots, editorial and advertorial coverage in target publications
  • Plan and executive marketing campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness and sales revenue
  • Creating content for marketing brochures and our website
  • Assisting with the design and production of marketing literature
  • Updating the company corporate and e-commerce websites and social media channels
  • Liaising with suppliers to deliver branded goods to the business
  • Conducting regular market research and competitor analysis and producing findings
  • Helping to organise ‘Exhibition or trade shows’ whenever happening
  • Implementing and monitoring sales & marketing strategies and carrying out follow-up actions
  • Dealing with all customer enquiries by social media, website, telephone, email
  • Run and track social media campaigns
  • Develop a paid advertising strategy
  • Researching, identifying and contacting new customers
  • Updating and maintaining our contact management database
  • Liaising with customers via telephone and email
  • General administration support

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in marketing
  • Relevant marketing qualifications
  • Experience of creating engaging work with a high level of accuracy
  • Experience developing great working relationships
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
