With over 24,000 assets and 300 product lines, we supply products and services to commercial and domestic customers. Nixon Hire operate from Depot locations nationwide, from which our products are prepared and dispatched for hire or for sale and are refurbished or configured as required.
Strategically review all areas of indirect spend to identify savings and optimise value for money.
Managing tenders to assess best option based on company goals and department objectives.
Project managing the implementation of new sources of supply and products into the business, developing handover plans for each project to ensure ownership is transferred to end user.
Applying a creative and flexible approach to negotiation to deliver outcome (not always cost) which is best for the company.
Negotiating terms and setting SLAs in place and ensuring an up to date SLA summary is available on the intranet with clear communication to any end users of changes.
Managing area of Capex, negotiating and scheduling of deliveries as directed by the Purchasing Manager.
Ensuring all documentation for selected Capex supplier is in place.
Supporting in month end activities. This will include, services POs, supporting depots to manage their POs, and monitoring NSM and giving guidance on resolution.
Supporting with supplier renewals on system and ensuring all documentation is valid and up to date.
Providing guidance to end users on department processes such as invoice query resolution, preferred suppliers etc.
Managing non-conformances and monitoring against supplier KPIs.
Supporting in cover when Purchasing Co-ordinator is absent.
Complying with Company Policies and Procedures and upholding the Nixon Hire Values at all times.
Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and timely manner without risk to yourself and others whether on site or at a depot in line with the Company’s Health & Safety Directives, Method Statements and procedure.
Wearing appropriate safety clothing and using safety equipment to complete the task undertaken in the working environment in accordance with the Company’s P.P.E requirements.
Maintaining a safe and hazard free work area be it on customer site or within Nixon Hire premises.
Checking company vehicles before use and driving in a safe and courteous manner, along with timely reporting of any vehicle defects.
Reporting any accidents (person, property or vehicles) via the Accident / Incident report system.
Adhere to Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality processes to ensure we are compliant at all times.
Carrying out any other duties as requested by immediate line manager or Director.
